Rob Rodriguez, MA, LMFT, LADC

Co-Founder, CEO, Clinical Director

Roberto Rodriguez, MA, LMFT, LADC is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor with extensive experience in the treatment of addiction and other mental health and behavioral health disorders.

Rachel Schutt, co-founder and chief operating officer of The Family Hub (also known as Wonder Woman) is a natural leader with a keen eye for detail and the drive to provide exceptional client care. Rachel’s genuine compassion and integrity shine through as she helps individuals and families navigate their way through the healthcare system, ensuring everyone receives the care they need.


Rick Dauer, LADC

Clinical Development

Rick, who has been a chemical health professional for more than 35 years, was an early advocate for gender-responsive and trauma-informed care. With a resume that includes being a Clinical Director at Meridian Behavioral Health and River Ridge Treatment Centers, as well as serving as a consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Rick brings expertise from the provider, insurer and governmental perspectives.

John Bultena

Interim Board Chair / Managing Director, First Trust Company

John has spent his career in the financial services industry and the private practice of law. He initiated the formation of First Trust Company and oversaw the effort to secure its charter, following which he was named its first president. Prior to his association with First Trust, John served as president and CEO of Northern Trust’s first Minnesota office, president and CEO of Dorsey & Whitney Trust Company, and senior vice president and head of personal trust administration for U.S. Bancorp. Earlier, he practiced law for 14 years with the Twin Cities firm of Briggs and Morgan.
John holds a B.A. degree from Augustana College, a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota, and an LL.M. (in Taxation) from New York University. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Ramsey County Bar Association.

Carol Ackley

Interim Board Vice Chair / LADC, Executive Director of Ackley Consulting & Training (A.C.T)

Ms. Ackley is a renowned national speaker and has worked in the substance abuse field for over twenty-five years as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. She has developed numerous seminars and workshops on multiple issues relating to substance abuse and her lecture on "Brain Chemistry of Addiction" has been used widely to educate business, behavioral health and social services, academia, corrections, and judicial personnel, as well as clients and their families about addictive disease, treatment, and prevention.

During her 16 years as executive director and owner of River Ridge Treatment Center, located in the Twin Cities Metro area, she developed, implemented and supervised gender-responsive, trauma-informed, co-occurring treatment and educational services. 

Ms. Ackley has been closely associated with Dr. Stephanie Covington and the Center for Gender and Justice since 1997 and has assisted in the development of gender-responsive, and trauma-informed programming for women and girls. She has provided training and consulting on all of Dr. Covington's curricula, and also helped develop and pilot the first gender-responsive and trauma-informed treatment curriculum for men: Helping Men Recover, co-authored by Stephanie Covington, Dan Griffin and Rick Dauer, and the first trauma-specific curriculum for men: Exploring Trauma by Dr. Stephanie Covington and Roberto Rodriguez.

Michaelene Colestock

Interim Board Treasurer / MA, LADC, LPCC, Owner/CEO Spence Specialties, LLC and ANEW

Michaelene has 18 years of experience in the addiction treatment field. Michaelene is the owner/CEO of Spence Specialties LLC and ANEW, providing sober housing to women and their children and outpatient substance use disorder treatment. She has also served as the program manager of Regions Hospital’s alcohol and drug abuse program and as the director of clinical services at Wayside House Inc. Michaelene has a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. In 2002 she obtained her license for alcohol and drug counseling and in 2013 became a licensed professional clinical counselor. Michaelene has also taught graduate-level classes at the University of Minnesota and Adler Graduate School and has facilitated educational trainings on co-occurring disorders and other topics at Metro State University, Family Supportive Housing Center, MARRCH Conference and Washington DC Conference to Prevent Homelessness.

Tracy Pederson

Interim Board Secretary / 

Senior Policy Consultant, Public Policy, Government Programs

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota

With over 20 years of experience, Tracy is the principal policy adviser for legislative, regulatory and public policy initiatives impacting Medicare, Medicaid, and government programs. She has a strong interest in policies that support health care affordability and accessibility. She is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict and holds an MA in Management from Saint Mary’s University.  She also maintains a Certificate in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) through the Health Care Compliance Association and has completed certificate programs in Health Care Compliance and Law and Leadership in Healthcare Administration from Mitchell Hamline Law School. She serves as the Co-Chair for the Alumnae in Training Committee on the College of St. Benedict Alumnae Board and is the current Secretary for the Board for The Family Hub.
